was playing COD online when pc crahsed rebooted windows xp loaded up ok but with a black background and and just the mouse cursor, the os was there just could see it, rebooted into vga mode and removed ati drivers, rebooted and downloaded latest drivers and tried intalling them and I keep getting the error message when installing ZERO DISPLAY SERVICE ERROR, the instal completes and reboots the pc and all seems fine, but games crash after about 2 mins of playing them, any help would be much appreciated.🙁

i have a 9800pro and have the same problem just now. i upgraded my hardware to a neo 2 mobo and 3.2 prescott recently, reinstalled windows etc and it all worked fine for battlefront and other games for a month or so. my graphics just died in the arse when i was playing rome total war yesterday which i hadnt played since the upgrade. all the graphics in windows started going crusty too. even the windows start up logo. i reinstalled windows and the drivers which is when i got the "zero display service error". battlefront wont even boot now and other games which played fine before go crusty after a couple of minutes. like i said, all the software is the same as when it was all working. this sucks.
