Ok i bought a new video card, and i can install it fine and stuff but, the metal plates on the back of the computer that can slide out (supposevely) wont, or I just dont know how to, but they need to be removed so the moniter can be plugged into it, please help me remove them.

Usually they have plates that are screwed in. Yours don't have screws? If not, then do what OCguy said. Take a hammer, and something with a skinny, but blunt end, place it on the plate, and give it a good wack with your hammer. The piece should pop out.

yea the plates, if they arent already cut out entirely, have a tiny barb of metal still holding them in place. give it a good jam from either side, if it's just a flat plate without a bend in it you can usually twist it until it breaks out as well. if the card is dual slot, make sure you unblock both since these cards usually exhaust out the back of the case
