help please

but my cpu only runs at 1.9GHz. I have a 2.53GHz P4.
How do I get it to run at max? not overclock it, just at what it's supposed to be running at.
I know this is a piece of cake for most of you

see if your running your fsb at the normal speed

Google the correct fsb for your processor, then go into the BIOS and set it to this value

Your CPU has a 19x multiplier, you are apperently running your FSB at 100mhz(400mhz). 19x100=1.9ghz...correct FSB is 133(533mhz)..19x133=2.53Ghz..

I did have my FSB running at 100MHz. I changed it to 133 and voila, problem solved.
