Ok guys, I'm getting along in my build. 1st build 
I now have all my fans hooked up and here's what point Im at. I have all peices in case and everything on the mobo.
My monitor is being a POS so I tried my brothers. When it plugs it it goes to sleep like usual but when I boot the computer it doesn't boot with it. Whats the problem?
Also, I'm supposed to be hearing a beep or 2 when I boot up the PC for the first time? If I'm not what could be the problem? (I obviously cant see what the problem is if it's on screen since the monitor won't work)
I think I'm pretty close to done, just need to get all these cables sorted out.
Also, my monitor problem.
When I put my video card in my new PC and plug the monitor in it says "Check Signal Cable" no matter what I do.
The monitor works fine plugged into my Dad's labtop and the video card works fine installed on my brothers computer. Also as noted my brother's monitor doe not want to boot with the PC.
Still not sure if my HD is connected right. Right now I have a little red cord connecte dto it that I think is the SATA cable. I have it plugged into a little slot that says Prim SATA. I also have 1 PSU cord going into it and another little one with a black clip end that is plugged into the HD and then a PSU cord. This is a WD Caviar on an Asus K8V SE Deluxe.
Other than that I think I've done almost everything right but I may have messed something up. Who knows. Help if you can
