Hi All!

I have a hard drive on another computer with a suspected BIOS virus.
I have purchased a new motherboard and am unsure how to remove the
virus without infecting the new motherboard.

If I boot off a floppy and then format the hard drive will this allow the
virus to get into the bios of the new motherboard?

A little perplexed as to how to go about this.. without killing the new
motherboard.

Thanx!

Well, in addition you will want to make sure that the boot disk you are using does not come from the old machine. Get one from a friend that has scanned his system and is virus free. Also make sure that it is write protected. Then proceed with the previously mentioned suggestion. 😉
