I'm using Time Warner Road Runner cable connection.

In terms of accessing the websites i want, downloading from various FTPs, etc... the connection is fine.

Except i cant send e-mail.
Nor can i access www.rr.com or sites like that.

Accessing www.rr.com gives me something like

Problem Report

Message ID
FILTER_DENIED

Problem Description
Your system was configured to deny access to this URL.

Possible Problem Cause
Request denied, as specified in the local filter list configuration.

Possible Solution
Contact your network support team if this problem persists.

Sending e-mail gives me something like:
From: System Administrator
Subject: Undeliverable: <subject heading>
Body:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: Subject

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'recipients email' on 3/20/2002 9:02 PM
550 5.7.1 <recipient's email>... Relaying denied

Does anyone know what the problem is?? Roadrunner tech support people are dumb. Internet doesnt really have anything on this as far i could search.

Any ideas??

Its not just my comp... all the comps in the apt do this.

Thanks

ps - if u need any other details just ask

email side: do you have it configured like rr ask you to do? with correct e-mail? It complains on relay, meaning it does not want to sent email which does not belong to that domain. Any filter/rule installed on your client?
