Awesome Thanks! I added the fan.

Regarding the case, Is there any better cases for around the same price? Or slightly more? When it comes to cases Im pretty clueless I was looking at a Coolmaster HAF 922. If that would be a better choice its like $35 more. Also please dont laugh at me but how do i get USB ports on the back of my tower? Since I have a USB mouse and junk and use the USBs quite a bit haha.

All you're really looking for in case, unless you want to be fancy, is lots of airflow for the 5850 and the x6. Everything else is luxuries that you want.

I have a Rosewill Challenger, which is great considering how heat the 4870 lets out. It really keeps it cool with 2 extra fans on the side. Not to mention it looks great if you change the LED fan from blue to red or green, mine are red. Comes with an e-sata port, 2 front USBs and your usual mic/headphone. Rosewills, personally, are the best bang for buck as far as cases go.

P.s. USB ports in the back come with the motherboard...lol

Hey guys. I'm having some issues with green dots on my screen. Could this be from not having a strong enough power supply? It's not in my games though just pics an videos.

weird, sounds like some sort of graphical artifact. Some of the 5xxx series from ATI had trouble in 2D settings when defective, even if they played games fine. It had to do with the chip not getting enough voltage while its clocks were lower in the 2D mode.

If you can get the XPS 8100 with the 5870, that would be the best setup (ignoring price).

Yes, but the XPS 7100 actually has a better PSU than the XPS 8100. The 7100 has a 425W PSU with two 6pin power connectors, the 8100 a 375W (IIRC) with one 6pin. The 9100 has a 525W I think, with one 6pin and one 6/8pin. Personally, I'd go for the 9100 if you can afford it. It also has 6 dimm's for memory, and a larger, better case, designed for more expansion.

So you are saying the card could need replaced with a new one? I have my old Dell tower I can pull my old ATI card out that to test in the new tower to see if it happens?
