Help: PC doesn't start immediately

Hi experts,

recently my pc started to have this problem: When I turn it on, it would not start immediately but would sometimes start suddenly on its own a while later, at times about 15 mins later...

Brought the CPU to a repair shop and they solved it. But when asked, they said they are not sure what was wrong; all they did was to remove all cables/components and fix them back.

For a while the CPU was normal; it would boot immediately when turned on. But today the problem came back...

Could anyone help with this? Thx!

possibly a bios issue...but what do you mean by flat? the batteries yes are flat in appearance...

"flat" as in out of juice...

more details would be: When I press the "on" button, it would not power up immediately, often only after a few minutes. But yesterday was the worst happened; it can't be turned on anymore.. However, the LED of an USB dongle plugged in is lit.

Btw, thx to all for replies. I prolly will try a new cmos battery first 🙂

i changed my cmos battery last nite but the pc is still dead... do I have to reset cmos after changing the battery? I didn't cuz I dun have the tiny watever-u-call-it-cmos-reset-thingy..

hi, thx but how do u hard start it? noob here.....

Look at a manual for that MOBO or look at the small two wire cables going to mobo from the front switch and find one that says pw switch or something along those lines. Then unplug that cable and use a small screwdriver and jump the two pins together and bam it should act like the front switch.
