New P4T533 with latest 1005 BIOS. When SCSI array is enabled (or physically connected) I cannot access my floppy drive. My host controller is an Adaptec 39320R SCSI RAID and I have two IBM drives in a RAID 0 array. Many hours with tech support with both Adaptec and ASUS. Any suggestions? On the good side, the machine I built for my daughter with an ASUS P4PE board is dynamite!

are they possibly on the same irq causing conflicts?

will the computer still recognize the floppy (both bios and windows)

IRQ is not the issue. Probably the SCSI host adapter BIOS is overwriting the memory address where the mobo wants to put the floppy. Wondered if anyone else with SCSI RAID has experienced the issue with the same mobo and Host Controller.
Unable to load an OS, BTW, without floppy or CD-ROM access.

without floppy or cdrom?
does the cdrom also not work?

if its 2k/xp then you can boot of cdrom and install, no need for floppy

Presumably by now you've tried putting the SCSI card in different PCI slots...? Slots 4 and 6 (second-from-bottom and bottommost, respectively) don't share their IRQ's, for what that may be worth.

Also, make sure that the floppy cable is plugged in the correct direction as that is the most common problem.
