Help. Overclocking! Im a n00b!

Hi there!

Okay, so I'm going to overclock my processor. Wish me luck. I hope you guys can help. I've never done this before. This is the first PC i've ever built, and so far it runs perfect. Currently I'm running:
Intel P4 3.06 GHz, 533MHz
Asus Motherboard P4S800D
Stock Cooling(4 cooling fans)

Are there any good tips or tricks I should know before performing this? Are there easy articles out there that will help me through it? Any info that you guys could share would be so awesome! Thanks again!!!
 
You've got plenty of headroom on your memory, so that won't be an issue. Lock the AGP/PCI bus in your BIOS (getting into your BIOS usually entails hitting F1 or Delete at your motherboard's splash screen), then slowly up the FSB (also in your BIOS), running a Prime95 (Google it) torture test for a few hours each time (to find your upper limit). Once Prime95 crashes your PC (and it will), crank back the FSB speed a bit, then try again. Ideally you want Prime95 to run for 24 hours without your PC crashing. Then it's stable for *most* intents and purposes.

Read your motherboard manual for other settings you might have to set when overclocking.
