Help overclocking dfi setup

I have a pretty decent set up for overclocking (I think) but when I get it where I want it, I get into windows... but when I run benchmarking programs. The computer hard locks/freezes.

I really don't think its hardware, and it sure isn't cooling. I have not put any real time into it yet, but last night at 14x213= the above problem. I will list the settings and the hardware, thx

Coolmaster stacker 830 with 4 120mm fans
FX-60 dual core
Asus 7800gtx 512
DFI lanparty Ultra Expert SLI-DR
Mushkin XP4000 2GB
Seasonic 600w psu

I have not set the actual timings for the ram, as I dont know them. So it is just the default settings.

Set up

Cpu throttling disabled
fsb 200
ldt/fsb 3x
cpu fsb 14x (muliplier) I tried other settings also with different multis
pci express freq 110
cpu vid startup value 1.5
vid cotnrol 1.5
vid special auto
ldt voltage control 1.20
chip set v.c 1.50
dramn voltage control 2.8

I get get damn close to 3 gig, but I want to be at 3 gig

did you find the max of each component by themselves? If not come back once you have. Follow the overclocking guide in the forum.

haha, wow tough room..... Well I am new to this and was just looking for some suggestions/guidance (on timing settings and multiplier settings that "should" work)
but, thx for that useful reply
