Hi All,

My system is running ok, but I'm not sure if my settings are ok. Is there anything else I can change? Can someone help me optimize it?
I have:
Athlon 64 3200+, DFI LanParty UT nF3 250GB, 1GB OCZ (3-4-4-8) PC3200.

Here is what I have now:

FSB Bus Frequency: 244
AGP Bus Frequency: 67
LDT/FSB Frequency Ratio: 3
CPU/FSB Frequency Ratio: 10
CPU VID Control: 1.425
CPU VID Special Control: 110%
Chipset Voltage Control: 1.7
AGP Voltage Control: 1.6
DRAM Voltage Control: 2.8

DRAM Frequency Set: 180 (9/10)
CPC: Disabled
tCL: 3
tRCD: 4
tRAS: 10
tRP: 4
tRC: 15
tRFC: 17
tRRD: 00
tWR: 3
tWTR: 2
tRTW: 4
tREF: 4708 166 (1.95us)
tWCL: Auto
DQS Skew: Increase
DQS Skew Value: 64
DRAM Drive Strength: Level 1
Max Async Latency: 8
Read Preamble Time: 6
Idle Cycle Limit: 32
Dynamic Counter: Auto
R/W Queue Bypass: 16
Bypass Max: 4
32 Byte Granulation: Enable (4burst)

Thank you in advance for your help
DJ

I changed some settings:

FSB Bus Freq: 229
AGP Bus Freq: 67
LDT/FSB Freq Ratio: 4
CPU/FSB Freq Ratio: 10.5
CPU VID: 1.50
CPU VID Special: 110%
Chipset Voltage: 1.8
AGP Voltage: 1.7
DRAM Voltage: 2.9

DRAM Freq Set: 200 (1/01)
CPC: Enabled
tCL: 3
tRCD: 4
tRAS: 10
tRP: 4
tRC: 11
tRFC: 14
tRRD: 2
tWR: 2
tWTR: 1
tRTW: 2
tREF: 3072 200 (3.9us)
tWCL: Auto
DQS Skew: Increase
DQS Skew Value: 64
DRAM Drive Strength: Level 1
Max Async Latency: 8
Read Preamble Time: 6
Idle Cycle Limit: 32
Dynamic Counter: Enabled
R/W Queue Bypass: 16
Bypass Max: 7
32 Byte Granulation: Enable (4burst)

CPU-Z shows following:

CPU Core Speed: 2405.5 MHz
Multiplier: 10.5
HTT: 229.1 MHz
Memory: 229.1 MHz

Any other suggestions? I can't push Memory over 229

Thx
DJ

the way it is, your RAM isnt really at 229. the a64 does not use real half-multipliers, it simply decreases the bus speed and increases the multi to the next whole number. so your real fsb is 2405.5/11= 218.7MHz. try just doing 11*219, you should get the same results.

Thanks.

This is where I am now and it works pretty good:

FSB Bus Frequency: 252
AGP Bus Frequency: 67
LDT/FSB Frequency Ratio: 3
CPU/FSB Frequency Ratio: 10
CPU VID Control: 1.525
CPU VID Special Control: 110%
Chipset Voltage Control: 1.6
AGP Voltage Control: 1.5
DRAM Voltage Control: 3.0

DRAM Frequency Set: 180 (9/10)
CPC: Disabled
tCL: 2.5
tRCD: 4
tRAS: 7
tRP: 4
tRC: 15
tRFC: 17
tRRD: 00
tWR: 3
tWTR: 2
tRTW: 4
tREF: 4708 166 (1.95us)
tWCL: Auto
DQS Skew: Increase
DQS Skew Value: 64
DRAM Drive Strength: Level 1
Max Async Latency: 8
Read Preamble Time: 6
Idle Cycle Limit: 32
Dynamic Counter: Disabled
R/W Queue Bypass: 16
Bypass Max: 4
32 Byte Granulation: Enable (4burst)

You didn't state what type of OCZ RAM you have (performance, gold, platinum, etc.). Depending on what you have, you might be able to do a bit better on the timings there, and maybe even get it 1:1. If you haven't already, check out the info on settings on this forum and see if you can't tweak things a bit.
