Hello
I bought a semi-generic Router, that doesn't seem to support PPPoE Timeouts (e.g. drop connections after say 3 mintues of idle time) and my ISP in Taiwan charges by the minute. I don't want the router to stay connected always with the DSL modem.
Previously on my Mac and PC I used a small "dialup" utility that connects via PPPoE to the Router (before I had the Router setup).
Then I could disconnect the service when I was done, ending the DSL connection.
Is there a way I can conigure the Router and the WinXP & Mac OS 9 computers, so that I can have the router in place (avoiding having to connect the ethernet cable physically to either the Mac or PC individually when I want to use each one), and STILL use a PPPoE "dialup" utility to make the connection each time I use the INternet?
Thanks in advance!
