hey guys, i got this set up right now:

Athlon XP 1800+ thoroughbred
Asus A7V333
true samsung ram from new egg, pc2700 256MB
a SVC 80mm fan running at around 3400 RPM
3 case fans that came with the case
Thermalright SLK-800 heatsink

I was wondering, what should i do in order to get a stable OC. I tried getting the multiplier to 11.5 and the FSB to 150 so i'm running basically a athlon xp 2100+ right now. Should i bump my multiplier more than my FSB or vice versa? What other combinations should i do? Right now i'm running around 24C overclocked without any load. When I load it up, it still runs around 26-27C. So i hope someone can give me some tips here. Thanx a lot guys!

Go for the highest FSB possible.

If you think your processor has a little more in it, but your FSB is maxed, move the multiplier up, and if neccessary, drop the FSB.

If you think that your FSB could go higher, but your processor is maxed, drop the multiplier down, and the FSB up.

Eventually find the perfect combination.

Gigabyte GA-7VAXP v1.1 F7 bios w/ 2 sticks of Samsung PC2700 (DDR333). Getting about 27C w/ the Retail HS. Chenming AX-01SLD case w/ 420W PSU & 4 fans. Looking for a Thermaltake HS.
