HELP on NEW 17" LCD~~~

Alright i know theres a lot of great 17" LCD out there and so many good reviews. But for my own insecurities i wanna know which LCD is the Bang for my Buck. The million dollar question is for under $500 Which LCD is best people recommend?

Right now im thinking of buying:
Samsung 173T $499 (newegg)


Some one either reaffirm my decision making or name some thing better (under $500) they think. Thx.~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 
I'm in the same boat. I'm thinking of CTX PV722E from Newegg for $406. . It has DVI and I like the in-built speakers, headphone, and importantly (for me) USB. And it pivots, too.

I bought the Sony SDM S73 from newegg for 400 bucks + shipping...it came with no dead pixels, has excellent picture quality, no ghosting, 16 ms response time.

I would definitely recommend that over the Samsung if you could get the same instant rebate deal I got!
