Help on networking computers!

With two PC's it's really simple.

Protocols:

TCP/IP
NetBEUI

TCP/IP Config:

IP Address: 192.168.1.x (make them different)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Hook each one to the switch with a patch cable, enable file & printer sharing, & call it good.

Ok i have win2k as the server computer and i have 2 local area connections that it set up by itself when i installed my 2 NIC cards on my computer.. and the computer i am networking with is win 98 doesn't have a connection in control Panel for a Network only for dial up? hmm. i am so lost should i just delete the local area connections and start fresh? do i need to mess with any of the network settings on the computer that is being networked or just the one that is supplying the bandwith? thanks
