help on a little math to figure out grades...
my class grade is 40% test 60% work

and the final is 40% of ur test scores. we have had 4 tests + final

pretend i have a 82 in the class, so on the final if i get a score that will maintian my test average would i get the same grade as i am rite now?

Short Answer: Yes. To maintain your current grade you need the same percentage of any new graded item.

Long Answer:

OtherSutff * .6 + tests * .4 = Grade

Other * .6 + (test1 * .15 + test2 * .15 + test3 * .15 + test4 * .15 + final + .4) * .4 = Grade

0.6 * Other + 0.06 (test1+test2+test3+test4) + 0.16*Final = Grade

The other stuff and the tests add up to 84% of your total grade, and you have 82% so far.

So you have 68.88/84 so far.

your final is the last 16 points, so to get an 82% total you need 13.12 of those 16 points (68.88 + 13.12 = 82)

13.12/16 = 82% on your final.

hmmm, if i maintained the same test average wouldnt that be the same thing?
pretend i have a test average of a C so far, well if i make a c on the final wont it be the same average then and wont that be same grade?
