HELP! No video display :(

I'm running a Thunderbird 900 on a Asus AV7226 motherboard. 128MB of DDR PC1600 RAM
The video card is a G-Force 2MX200 AGP.
I have a 20GB HD and a NEC 24X CDRW drive.

I don't have any other cards plug in. This is what I'm getting when I boot up.....NOTHING!

no bios setup
no splash screen
....NOTHING!

If I take out the memory....i get a long continuous beep which is normal if there is no memory installed

but I still don't get any video display. I know the monitor works because when i plug in a different computer on the same monitor...it works just fine.

I also tried plugging in a PCI video card but I still don't get any display. Anyone know what's wrong?

the jumpers on the motherboard are all set to factory default setting and in jumper free mode

thanks in advance for any tips🙁

one thing to add....when i power on....the led lights just stay on constantly....
and the other weird thing is...when i plug in the monitor cable...i get a "monitor is in powersave mode....activate pc to turn monitor on"...then it turns off...
if i unplug the monitor cable...the monitor turns on...but if i plug it back into the video card...it turns off or goes on stand-by mode.

this is the same whether or not i plug in a pci video card or a agp video card

Card is dead most likely. Try a BIOS reset, and the PCI card alone - otherwise it's trying to use AGP first for sure. The card detects, exists, doesn't display. I'll tell you exactly why as soon as LeadTek gets back to me with why mine did the same thing.

yeah, look at your mother board manual and there should be a page that tells you how to clear your cmos by switching the jumper over one notch for a few seconds (make sure your ac power is disconnected). The problem may be in your bios settings somewhere and you have to clear it out to work again. This happened to me just today, believe it or not and I had to do exactly that to get it up again.

I am having the same problem except when i turn the computer off/on or reset, then it would work. Video card is properly seated and I've even tried using a pci card with the same result. Anyone with a solution to this situation? tia.

yeah...i already try resetting the cmos and still nothing

AreEss...I've tried using the PCI video card alone...and i still don't get a signal to the monitor.

Make sure you've pulled off the drive cables too. If the ide cables are reversed the system won't boot or post.
Also make sure the bios jumper isn't on reset.
