Help..... Newegg CHP USB 2.0 PCI card crashing the system.

Guys, I guess it was covered before, but I couldn't find it.... 🙁

I have a CHP USB 2.0 PCI card (from newegg).... I install the card but I have always "not working devices" in the device manager (winme/win2k/winxp)....

The worst of all is that it keeps crashing the system (I took it out for a while and the system was rock solid....) I place it back and a hard crash every 5 minutes is not unlikely..... even in win2k 🙁

What can I do to solve it???

Thanks

so you installed card but still have "not working devices"?

do u mean when you go to device manager it has a question mark next to the device, or an exclamation mark?

try downloading newest drivers and installing those?

hard crash, does it bsod or just freeze?

Thank you guys. I did try a different PCI slot. What I mean as hard crash is a freeze. I will try the newest drivers. In the device manager, they appear with the exclamation sign.
