I recently par-took in this Hot Deal thread at: HERE
The board is the SOYO SY-V6BE+ 100MHz FSB PII Motherboard. If you read through the thread, you'll see that I am having some problems with it.
I have a 45gig WD as my secondary HDD (primary is fine and has WInME up and runnin gon it n/p) that the motherboard will NOT detect. It just HANGS on the auto detect until I hit "del" to go nto bios or hit reset (even f4 to skip will not work)
There is a BIOS update for the MB, and it its description it says the update fixes problems with the detction of some HDDs. So I figure this is the likely problem and fix.
So I go to do the bios update, run awdflash.exe and when it asks me for what bios I want to flash, I tell it the .bin I downloaded and it jsut HANGS there. Floppy drive accesses for abit, then just stops but floppy light stays on.
I tried different floppies, even put awdflash and the .bin on the primary HD with no luck in flashing.
I will mention that the WD is in a removable tray, but this is not the issue as if I put a conner 435MB drive in the tray it is detected without issues and the same WD 45gig in the tray can be detected in my other system.
So... long and short, I have the MB, it needs a bios flash to detect my secondary HDD and the bios flash will NOT go.
