I just purchased a Mobo Combo w. a new graphics card and power supply.

Asus A8N-E

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 512K 90nm Rev. E Venice

RAM - DDR (400) 3200 - 1 GB (2 pcs 512) OCZ

ATI (Connect3D) Radeon X800 XL 256MB DDR/PCI-E/TV-Out/VGA/DVI

OCZ OCZ45012U ModStream ATX 2.0 450W Power Supply

I installed all the parts into my case and attached my two HDD's and two DVD's. I booted up and passed the BIOS screens with no error messages. Then windows starts to load and just before I get the logo, the PC reboots. Again, no error messages just rebooting. I tried safe mode and I get through a bunch of drivers and then a reboot.

So I pulled the second IDE cable and rebooted. No difference. What should I do next? Does the Connect 3D require a power connection to the PSU? I couldn't find any connections at all and assume it doesn't but the paperwork seemed to indicate that the card would need additional power.

One other thing, I connected the 24 Pin EATX cable but the manuals seemed conflicted one area is says a 20-pin power cable and in another it mentioned a 24-pin cable. Did I do something wrong there?

Any advice?

Did you uninstall the video card drivers from the system before you put the new one in?
You have a new motherboard as well. Is it a different chipset than before?
Are you just putting the HD into the new system with a previous installation of windows on it? May need to do a repair install of windows to get the core of windows and the correct drivers for the new mobo and chipset.

I basically did a whole brain transplant with the same old HDD. I've done this before and in the past, XP detected the new hardware and installed the needed drivers until everything was up and working. I am using a new Mobo chipset but the video card drivers currently installed are already Catalyst since I'm upgrading from a 9600 Pro. I'll try the repair install and see if that helps.
