Hello Eveyone,
Maybe you can help. I got this screaming new computer, are bare bones system. With the following hardware:
1.1 Gig Thunderbird
128 DDR Ram
Geforce 2
Sound Blaster Live
and more top of the line components.
When I first got this machine I need to install some of the hardware including the sound card, vid card, and DSL modem. I had some troubles and had to send it back to the manufature for repait. Well I got my computer back, again installed the cards mentioned above and am having problems once in a while when playing quake.
I have defraged my system, tested it on serveral bench marks systems all which tell me it is running just fine except for one test. When I run the Blaster Controll Untility for my Annihalator 2 Pro it is telling me the following of which I believe is the cause of my problem. Below is the copy from the test I having been running:

2.202. Adapter IRQ [10] shared with : [VIA Tech 3038 PCI to USB Universal Host Controller] [VIA Tech 3038 PCI to USB Universal Host Controller] [Intel(R) PRO/DSL 2100 Modem - PPP]
I am not sure where to go with these instructions? I have been woring within the bois and have noticed this IRQ thing. The test used to say problem with the Adapter IRQ 11 then it swithced to 10.
When I play quake some of the time I have killer preformance but lots of the time it seams jerky....not smooth at all. I scored a 128 frames per second in resalution of 800 x 600 at max visual quality.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can get this dam thing work right ?
thanks Chemical
