k so i just fitted all the pieces togather in my system (parts are in sig) and i turned it on i got the bios to boot and its checken everything but at the end it says "error loading operating system" all the components are new except the Maxtor 120 gb hdd thats already got the os and all the info from this system. this system is a P4 totally diff. do i need to uninstall all the drivers from this system then plug it into the other system for it to work?

That is too huge of a system hardware difference for windows to comprehend. You have to redo windows unfortunately. Start from scratch with a Windows installation cd and format your harddrive.

will take a while

but you should be able to install windows right over the top of the old windows

this will be extremely messy and may not even work properly but should work enough to transfer files you want to save onto your other HD

only you done that format the thing entirely and reinstall windows
