HELP! New comp doesn't POST!

I've seen a lot of people around here blame most problems on a "weak" powersupply and a large part of the rest on RAM.
I do not believe this is a PSU problem. I have a similar problem. RMAd my old board and got a new one, new the PC is completely dead, no beep, no post, just fans spinning and HD and CDROM going thru self test. That's it.
Went thru the whole thing with removing all the components, removing RAM, resetting CMOS... blah blah, you get the idea.

I am on my second PSU and I am pretty sure that even the first one was ok. I don't think it's the memory either, after all it worked in the original board. In my case I am sure that either the board or the CPU are dead. Now I have to figure out which one. Someone in these forums suggested I start up the PC without the CPU to see if it would beep. IMHO I don't think this will work as I think it needs a working CPU to post, but I guess I will see.

Sorry I could not be of any help. I suggest you call both, AMD and the manufacturer of you mobo to get both their opinions and suggestions. That is what I am about to do. I have to admit though that I am expecting a certain outcome: AMD blaming ASUS and ASUS blaming AMD.
