and finally it says on my 2 wireless computers that connect to the router that it has no security or encryption or something are you sure you want to connect? how do i make it secure etc

cheers for all your help

Security should be set in the Wireless Router (Access Point) by logging to the Router Menus and using the security entries (Instructions should be in the Router?s Manuel).

The exact same entries have to be set in each Wireless Client computer.

The most countable way to set rhe Wireless Card is to use the Client Utility provided by the Wireless Card manufacturer.

The following pages describe the general consideration of the Wireless settings.

Link to: Wireless Security for the Home User.

ok thats cool, got all the security stuff figured out, but can you network 2 of the 3 comps with this linksys router but i don't want the 3rd 1 networked as such but i still want it to be able to get on the internet

cheers

To talk between them you have to set on each computer the Sharing.

Otherwise if they are connected to the Router they would just share the Internet.
