Help, Networking 2000 Server, WinXP Two NICs

Hello, I am trying to network my Windows 2000 Server maching to my main computer. I want to install two network cards in my server, I was told this would be more efficient. I listen to my MP3s and watch movies off of my server. Can anyone give me some helpful tips on configurations?
