HELP!!!! Netgear FA310TX not totally recognized

When I installed the Netgear NIC, it was detected and asked for the drivers which loaded ok. When you check it out in Device Manager it's there with no yellow question mark or red X through it. When I check properties on it everything looks ok. But when I click on the Start button, Run button and type in Winipcfg (which shows network cards) it doesn't show up. I'm running Win98SE.

I've removed the card, deleted the drivers and reinstalled it several times just to make sure I'm doing everything right. I don't know what else to do.

I'm guessing you mean when you do the drop down list box, it's not in the list. It shows up in the network components list in network neighborhood?

Pederv, that's it. When I type in winipcfg the next window is IP Configuration/Ethernet Adapter Info and it's not listed in the drop down list but it is in Network Neighborhood. Any ideas? Thx.
