HELP NEEDED

My m8 built me a pc a couple of months ago when i first got it sometimes i would switch it on and it would power up the hard drive would spin a little then stop but thats about it just a blank screen other times it would work fine since then its been in storage for a couple of months got it out 2day and im having the same problem i need to get it working could any1 tell me where to start.

P.S. im new 2 this so plz make it simple as poss.

any help will be apprecited.

sometimes whatworks for me is to just take it apart and put it back together again, making sure all the cards and cables are fully seated and there are no bent pins anywhere. Do you get any beeps?

i took the souncard out and changed the ide (think hard drive wire haha) to number 1 instead of no2 and checked all cables and wires like you said its loaded up it said something about cmos loaded as default on bootup but it all seems to be working fine now any way.
