hello,

I figure I check out my ATI rad 9000 pro on my other computer ( 800mhz duron, 256 DDR, Biostar MTVIT pro, Windows XP home with service pack one, and VIA 4 in 1 4.45 ) After a fresh install of xp and via chipset drivers I go to install the radeon drivers off the cd that came with the video card ( I do not know what version the drivers are ) It comes up saying "Zero Display service error" I don't know what this is but something tells me very bad! Does anyone know what it means? Can anyone help me with this? Any help would be very kewl, thanks.

Have you considered getting the latest drivers from ATI and trying them on XP?

After installing the new drivers it tells me that i need to disable other devices on my system so it can be use. however i have everything disable but, modem, audio, and the video card. I'm thinking maybe it's sharing irq? After I went into system info it is not sharing irq/s thoe. I dun understand how I can have everything on my mobo enable and the card works perfectly in windows 98se but with almost everything disable it does not work on xp. I'm going to try two more things, uninstall via irc pointting driver and moving my modem to another pci slot. No go I dun know what else to do.

Try doing a format and fresh install with everything removed from your machin but your video card. Also go into your bios and disable all the onboard stuff. After install is complete then install the latest via drivers then the latest video drivers. once you have done that and everything is working add your other devices one at a time.
