help needed with soundcard problems...

I have a Turtle Beach Montego II, and am having some problems with it. While the speaker jack and the mic jack work perfectly, the gameport and the line in jack do not. I can't get the gameport to respond to anything I install in it (gravis gamepad & midi controller keyboard), and I know both those items work. When I plug something into the line in jack, I can hear the sound through the speakers, but am unable to record anything at all in applications like Sound Forge and Cool Edit Pro. The preferred device in multimedia setup for recording is "Montego II Record", so I'm not sure what the problem could be.
Any help is greatly appriciated.

Ok, the line in problem is fixed. It was something really simple. Now, I just need advice about the gameport.. Thanks.
