Help needed with a KA7.

I bought some ram (2x128MB Mushkin High Perf REV2 PC133 222) for my KA7 and Athlon classic. I am having trouble getting the KA7 from PC100 to PC133. Tried using the dip switches on the MB, and also tried using the bios. In the bios it changes the Pci bus to 133/44. I don't have a setting for 133/33. I've tried one stick in all 4 slots, nothing but black screen. Change back to 100/33 and everything is fine. Any ideas???
 
you should leave the pci settings to 100/33

there's an option for mem.bus = hostbus, hostbus -33 & hostbus +33


try hostbus plus 33 !!! 🙂


might by slightlty different in the BIOS cause i'm doing this by memory. it is a few lines below the one you are trying

Under the SoftMenu options, set it for Host Clock + PCI Clock. Leave your FSB setting at 100/33 unless you plan on overclocking through the FSB.
