I have a Canyon 6XBAS-T motherboard with 900mhz celeron on it, and im going to upgrade my harddrive and RAM, becouse they are just too old and slow , (harddrive: Quatum Fireball lct08 16gigs and 3x64mb 100MHz noname RAM).
Im going to buy Western Digital Caviar WD800JB and 1x512mb 133MHz Kingston or PQI RAM (which one is better), so my question is Does my motherboard support 512mb stick(in manul it just says up to 1gigs and it has 3xDIMM slots, so logicaly thinking it should support it) and will the 133MHz frequncy be a problem on my 100MHz celeron (i can make the ram run host clock +33Mhz)
The second question is should i update my BIOS(they have one on theyr homepage with a date: 15.04.2002) or the 80gig harddrive will be no problem without the bios update?
Oh and when i have upgraded my computer what do you think witch component will be the biggest bottleneck on my system (graphic card or CPU)
My system specs are:
900MHz celeron CPU
3D Blaster GeForce 2 GTS 32mb
196mb 100MHz ram (512mb 133MHz when upgraded)
Big THANX in advance.
