My wife is running an old G4 on Tiger 10.4.11. She is currently also running an iPhone3G.
I just got her an iPhone4, and I believe we have now hit a potential wall. Our understanding from AT&T is that we should synch her current iPhone3G to iTunes, activate her iPhone4 and then synch her iPhone4 to iTunes.
After doing some research, we discovered that iPhone4 require iTunes 9.2.1, but that Tiger won't support past iTunes 9.2.1. I believe that she can currently use her iPhone4 on her current setup, but that she will never be able to push her iPhone4 past v4.2
We called Apple, and didn't get a clear answer on the solution. They suggested she upgrade her OS to Leopard 10.5.
I expect that we will upgrade her to a G5 within the next year, but we need an interim solution for her current G4. Can she continue to run her current setup unchanged and support her iPhone4, or should we upgrade her to Leopard now that she has an iPhone4.
