Help needed badly

To make a long story short, I tried to disable the Welcome screen in Windows and it didn't work. Then I downloaded Tweak UI, made some changes, but now my rig has me locked out of logging on.

My log on name has disappered from the Windows screen and all that is there is the Administrator icon. When I click on that it asks me for a password. But there is no password!!!! So when I click on that it won't let me log on with out entering a password.

On top of that, after pressing F8 continuously, I am unable to boot into safe mode. The PC just boots to the Administrator screen.

Can someone please help me get my computer back up and running?

if you have a windows 2000 disc, use that and do a recover, it will bypass admin controls.

Need to use your installation disc of whatever windows version you installed, otherwise you are ******.

boot to xp cd and do repair install
or do f8 and pick boot to last known good config
or go f8 and pick safe mode command prompt and then type in thusly (just type it in - dont worry about doc&settings stuff).......
%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

and there are a thousand appz in google to recover XP admin pw
if you wish I can PM you one

and you might get more answers in correct forum - this is not hardware

Thanks guys for all the help. I was able to use Bozo's fantastic knowlege and do a system restore which brought me back to speed. Thanks again, Bozo.
