Oh crap...you know the same thing just happened to me. I shut my comp down and the next morning it wouldn't turn on. So i removed all the cards and tried w/ just the mobo, ram, and video card (everything at default settings) and still no post. So I assumed it was the power supply. I just ordered the 400W antec and it should be comin in on Wednesday. I don't want to install it if this mobo kills power supplies. Any suggestions guys???? Help us avoid killing more power supplies!

My first impression is, and all the recent threads seem to point to this as well is...that 300watt doesn't seem to cut it. I would go 350watt.

i have the epox 8k7a and it is the best thing ever. I run it, 1.2 @ 1.4 Tbird, Radeon LE, 4 case fans, CDROM, 30 gig hdd, 256 megs RAM, NIC, all fine off my 300 watt enermax ps.

This happened to me as well. This is what I did. I let the PS sit for a while without having it connected to the mobo. Then I connected it again and it worked. One way to test if you PS has died or not is by hooking the PS up to another system. I did that when this happened and the PS worked fine. So I was utterly confused. I just let it sit for a while and then I hooked up the PS to the Epox and it worked fine. I am using a 400W A1 (AMD approved) PS. I don't think your PS is dead and needs to be returned.

Hey AB I did try ps in a other computer no go and I also let in sit overnite and tryed again in morning no go But when I use my working system ps supply boots it post so I believe that since it is killing the ps only on shut down 2 times after I shut down it wouldn't boot backup RMA the enlight case ps New sparkle booted up finishing loading some drivers then shut down to put in modem and get it in then try boot backup no go test sparkle in other computer no go dead also waited overnite and gave it shot next day no go I am RMA the epox 8k7a and getting refund on sparkle from newegg they are the best anyway just like to hear people experiences and there thoughts on how the mobo is killing the power supply my uncle said mobo could be drawing to much power and when it's shutting down it spikes and kills ps what you people think?

sometimes when you can't get the system to power back up you can try flipping the switch in the back of the PS to off and let it set there about 6 secs and flip it back on and alot of the time this will work. I think it resets the PS.

press and hold the power botton for 5 secs until it shuts off, and then press the botton again to turn
it back on.

FinalLastz well have no mobo rma it but just notice something on the enlight case took off the panel where mobo sits and notice that the 2 standoffs are metal these were already install in the case when I got it new then they have these other metal ones I install with the screws w/case but cannot pickup with magnet but the 2 round solid one's are metal and can be pickup with magnet damn could this be it? why is it metal these are the 2 standoffs in the middle round 1/8 inch that can use wrench to take off usually these are brass right? I am taking them off and using the little cheesy ones that look like little oil wells at least they are not metal do you folks this was the problem? but wouldn't the computer not post if shorting?
