I can't decide which to get. I'd need it for email mostly.

Here's what is available:
- Treo 750
- HTC Tilt/Mogul, Touch
- Moto Q9h/Q9c
- Blackjack 2
- VZW vx6800
- VZW Samsung i760

I think i'm leaning towards the Q9 because it's somewhat small (prefer to put pda in pocket). It's too bad it does not have Wi-Fi. Do any of these have free GPS directions? Being compatible with Orb or Slingbox is a plus too.

Are you on Sprint EVDO? Orb and Slingbox may not work so well on slower cellular networks if you're on the go or in a place without WiFi.

out of those, I think the only one that has gps built in ready to go is the tilt, the xv6800 (the mogol is the same thing) have it, but Its not activated by default (yet at least, sometime this spring), but you can hack it to do gps. Some ot the touch models also have gps, but it depends on which one.

I'll be in/around NYC, so signal isn't an issue. I think i'm leaning towards the BJ2, Q9, or Touch.

i have found with my q9c, the wifi card is of little use. its nice around my house sometimes when reception gets poor, but for the most part you can get plenty of speed off the evdo network. i stream orb live tv all day long on evdo..

my biggest problem is the q9c is basically a piece of junk. you get oo'd and awe'd by the sound quality and shape/size, but the phone has absolutely no reliability. ive never been more pissed off at a cell phone, it either screws up, freezes, reboots, anything. its always dog slow... its just nothing like a blackberry or something. from what you listed, id go with palm.
