hey guys, I am having a party at my house on the 30th of April because my parents will be out of town for the weekend. I was just wondering if any of you guys could give me some tips.
i hope my parents dont go on anandtech forums lol

im thinking of hosting it in the basement , but my basement is un finished cuz the house was build about 5 months ago.

cardboard the floor. go to costco, the back of grocery stores, or some other places where you know they'll have boxes and cardboard the floor.

that doesn't matter. if it's red, it doesn't come in. period. accidents and mistakes happen. red accidents and mistakes will be detected.

I learned this from the people next door. 🙂

Sounds like a good idea, then you don't have to pay for a new paintjob and reparations. Don't know how many you will invite, but stay in control of the situation.

crap forgot about my neighbors, I live in a really conservative upper class neighborhood. I hope my neighbors dont notice like 20 cars parked outside my house

Point of contest - Blood is red. And that sh!t requires pro-cleaning.

Cars? Have them walk. House party + driving = DUIs.

Sounds like lots of possible drunken drivers...........

Secure anything easily breakable/valuable

Hide the good booze

Make sure nobody gets completely bombed then decides to go out and wrap their car aroud a tree

Be the last one to pass out

Have people carpool or park far away if possible...

Make sure people stay out of important parts of the house...

Don't let it get out of control... Limit the amount of people...

Don't let anyone drink and drive, you have a house, let them stay the night...

As stated, no red drinks...

And if possible, find someone with a scanner if you're worried about the cops busting the party... Its a life saver to get people out or hidden...

ok.. nothing red or sharp... we'll just have to hope they keep their blood inside 'em. ok.. the cardboard carpeting on that basement is a good idea too.

I can't believe I'm helping this child plan a party while his parents are out of town. don't tell MY kids..

Better they learn to do it right, than staging a party that ends in a catastrophe 😛

I have personal experience with that...luckily I had plenty of paint left over. I will never forget re-painting the wall at 4:30am on a saturday night while my passed out friends were moaning/snoring/mumbling in their sleep.

OP: that sounds like a really bad idea. I don't recommend it.
