i was looking at the power supplies at newegg.com and narrowed them down to 3. they all are 350W but have different prices and STATS. which one is the best???

THIS IS WHAT IM LOOKING FOR:

#1 (most important)
--have alot of power to supply for overclocking and many fans!
#2 (not as important)
--fairly quiet, other fans make enough noise, dont need 1 more adding to it
#3 (least important)
--to have leds for monitoring fan and heat

THESE ARE THE PSUs:

#1 SPI (SPARKLE) $50
+3.3 V=28 A
+5 V=32 A
+12 V=15 A
+5 Vsb=2 A
-5 V=0.3 A
-12 v=0.8 A
COMBINED
+3.3V & +5V=220W
+5V & +3.3V & +12V=330 MAX

#2 ANTEC $46
+3.3 V =20 A
+5 V=33 A
+12 V=15 A
+5 Vsb=2 A
-5 V=1 A
-12 V=1 A
COMBINED
+3.3V & +5V=180W
+3.3V & +5V & +12V=323 MAX

#3 ENHANCE ELECTRONICS $35
+3.3V=28A
+5V=30A
+12V=15A
+5Vsb=2A
-5V=0.3A
-12V=0.8A
COMBINED
+3.3V & +5V =220
+3.3V & +5V & +12V=330W

NOW I HAVE HIGH LITED THE DIFFERENCES AND IT SEEMS THAT THE ENHANCED IS BETTER PRICE / PERFORMANC.
DO THESE DIFFERENCES MEAN ANYTHING??? OR AM I JUST BLOWING SMOKE UP SOMEONES A$$

NOW I DO KNOW THAT MORE AMPs IS BETTER AND PROVIDES STABLILITY AND QUAULITY, BUT IF SO, WHY IS ANTEC'S WATTS SO LOW???

The Sparkle looks the best of the three.

Even though you have narrowed it down - how about an Enermax 350w?

yeah the enermax is the best but also cost the most.. and if i did get that brand i'd get the 73$ EG365P-VE with the adjustable fan switch on the back.... doooood thats just sweet. but im buying a mobo, proc, and vid card also and trying to save some money heheh. maybe my next up grade ill do it.. but i did more research on the enermax and the one that is similar is the ANTEC, so i might go with that. and the reason for that is because its got the highest AMPs, which is important for when high current is drawn..

Those are all good brands, ................. I can purchase the SPI's locally so I usually just go for those.

The Enhance is the best buy and one model (300W) has a 220W combined rating on the 3V + 5V rail (same as the 350W), .......... it's even cheaper and should be power enough for a normal Athlon system up to 1.4G (most "power hungry" psu) ..........!

Check out AMD's approved psu list.
www.directron.com also has a good psu faq page to help explain some of the differences in PSU quality and manufacture.

goose77, you can get the ENERMAX EG365P-VE (FMA) for $63, so it is $10 less and has that fan speed dial on the back, but it is still a bit expensive. That price was at newegg.com I know that did not help much, but it is my $.02 :)

thank you for all your help. i got your post a little late and picked the ANTEC since it was similar to the enermax stats but lower price. i should have gotten the SPI or the ENERMAX, especially if the enermax was on sale for 63$$$ im gonna call newegg and see if i can still switch it.

once again thanks for the help!!
