Help need new Cpu old one crashed!!!

im looking to buy a new cpu motherboard combo which one should i get i want a real good one

core 2 duo e6600 cpu fan

athlon 64 x2 am2 5600 cpu fan

pentium d 945 dual core cpu fan

could you guys also state the reason why

could you list your old system specs/components/OS/ type of "cpu crash"/etc. as well as fairly all that you did with the machine .. for $300 ..hmm...you'll be reusing parts most likely ..gl

What RAM do you have now (if its ddr1 then you will need to get some ddr2 to go along with the new cpu/motherboard combo)?

Well, IMO, if you are getting a new CPU and MOBO then go the c2d route. I dont see AMD as a viable purchase for the foreseeable future. Best grab some DDR2 mem NOW while its dirt cheap as I predict the prices will shoot up when intel lowers the prices on c2d chips next month and everyone will be upgrading, including myself! 🙂
