Help Need advise or what kind of LAPTOP to BUY??

Hey..I was told to come here for advise or what type of laptops are good. My old compac home PC crashed and I now want a laptop due to travel, etc.

All I know is I have heard DELLS are bad..ACER's & HP's are good.

Where to buy? Is ebay safe?

Dells are rather nice. In my opinion you've heard wrong. The 650m, 6000, and 9300 are all good quality inexpensive machines.
