Because pigs are smart enough to respond to their name... I didn't want to spend the next year saying "hey, you! Come here"

I don't name the majority of our animals... only 2 of the rabbits have names - they came from my niece. Approximately 40-50 chickens; only 1 has a name (one of the roosters) - Charlie. But, the goats, miniature llama, alpaca, peacocks, and turkeys have names.

Names of the turkeys: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, . . .

Personally, I kinda liked "Kevin" - but wondered if I'd ever get tired of this conversation:
"Why did you name a female pig, 'Kevin'?"

So, I didn't lobby too hard. "Ophelia" won. I was hoping someone here would have come up with a better name; oh well.
