I just installed a new 1Ghz Athlon + 128Mb of Infineon PC133 CAs2 ram ona Soltek SL-75KV2-X motherboard.
I ran SiSoft Sandra and it reports:
ALU = 306mb/sec
FPU = 317mb/sec

when my m8 ona Duron800@950 can reach 600 area! What wrong??

Please help

alu/fpu, that's ram benchmarks, right?
just out of curiosity, how the hell did you get up to 600? i mean, im running 128mb pc133 micron @cas2 and im only getting something like 550mb (i dont remember exactly)
anyway, did you set all the BIOS settings for optimization? im talkin:
dram timing 2
4-way interleave
hostclock+pciclock
force feed (or something like that)
fast write-around (i have no idea, this just sounds right)
BTW, sorry i cant give specifics, im not at my computer ATM (im actually at work, but no one is here :)

Just for comparison:

CPU Bench:
Dhrystone ALU 2236 MIPS
Whetstone FPU 1089

Memory:
Int ALU/RAM 409 MB/s
Float FPU/RAM 487 MB/s

A7V
Duron 600@800
320 Megs PC133 CAS3 default settings.
FSB 100

Also maybe put you old chip back in and retest.

ya, back in the bios you want to change dram timing to 2 and set hostclk+pciclk for dram speed.
