help, my mouse is gone nuts!

everything works fine, except that the left button is soooo messed up.. maybe 1/3 of times single clicking would work, other times it wont... i can forget about double clicking all that attempt of opening the case and cleaning the contents didnt seem to work either... time to shell out for a new mouse, yay or nay?
