help: my motherboard beeps at random

My A7V does this too, I think in my case that it's from the "asus probe" program. once in a while, one of the voltages is out of parameter. I get it mostly if I leave the probe on while playing games in a dos window, and if I stop, the probe program is way out of whack registering cpu temps of 4,000 and voltages of 55.80v and such.

will do when i get home. my temp's at 42c - supposedly. i thought oveheating caused continous beeps. but i will check the bios when i get home.

<smirk> it might be the voltage. and i don't see any way of changing the alert setting on the kt7. oh well. it's 100% stable. it runs...

Same thing happens with my P3B-F when I'm playing UT, and it's unsettling. I'm using MBM 4.18, but the beep seems to come from the box's internal speaker. The recorded CPU temp IS toasty after this beep, ~63C with a Celly366@550, and ~53C with a P3E 550@733.

Sometimes, when Windows wants to play a sound but you don't have the wav, the PC Speaker beeps instead.
