My system was working fine and it displayed that I had 512 megs of RAM until I noticed last night that it started showing that I only had 384. I don't know how long I might've been having this problem but I only noticed it yesterday. I have a MSI k7t266 pro with 2 sticks of 256meg DDR. I have the latest BIOS and it only started to do this just recently. I have no clue what might be wrong, I haven't moved my system in forever so I doubt the sticks shifted, what the heck is going on? Can someone help me? thanks

if your not o/cing ..that would rule that out.........try pulling out all but one and try switching them around till you figure out if its the motherboard mem slot thats bad or the piece of ram....

Agree. You could (just for giggles) try pulling and switching the sticks to different slots. In that way you will either confirm which module is going bad, find out it is a RAM slot and not the RAM, or perform a miracle and both sticks will work properly. ;) Hey, it's worth a shot, right?!

In this instance, I'm sure we are sorry that we were right. Sorry you had to RMA but Crucial is really good about it so you should have your new stick in fairly quick time.
