HELP! My hard drive froze!

Hi again, The freezer trick usually only helps with a drive that wont spin up. Something to do with the bearings on the platter shaft. When they go bad they cause extra friction. Cooling causes expansion and contraction and sometimes loosens them up temporarily. Good luck with it, Jim
