Help! My ECS K7S5A won't recognize my floppy

Bluga

Banned

Everytime i boot thorrough CD-ROM (win98 or Win2000) i can't not access the floppy, i can however access it after booting into windows, any ideas?

Have you got it set to see Floppy Drive A: 1.44 MB in the BIOS? i duno if that would matter.... maybe check data & power cable?, might want to look at your BIOS options closely...

Does it light up at Post? It should blink its green light at least once. Maybe make sure it can boot by not booting from the cd rom and see what happens. Boot a win98 boot disc, and then start the cd by typing c:\winnt....that will start setup.

Make sure the A drive is included in boot order...

Yeah, check what Dogma is saying.

If your cabling is not correct, it will not be recognized in bios.
Switch it around , it usually will not harm (or has not harmed any of my drives by connecting them backwards).

i can access it once i log into Win2K, so i guess my floppy connection is ok. Going to try the BIOS thing. Thanks guys.
