I need help guys!

Heres the story using the below rig, I installed a slave drive so that I can format it, but I forgot to put the pin in the proper way, so when it booted this came up:

The following file is missing or corrupted: C:\WINDOWS\IFSHLP.SYS

The following file is mising or corrupted:C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VMM32.VXD

keeps on doing it everytime I bootup, BIOS screen comes up, and the WinME logo comes up for a sec, then the above!

Someone help me on fixing this, as I got too much stuff on my drive to re-format!

thanx!

You could just reinstall the operating system over its self, but I would use that as a last resort.

Do you have any other computers around that you could use to backup the drive?

did you try booting with just one ( original drive )?
Arew you trying to recover data or jsut get the system operational
do you care for the data -- if not just reinstall might be the quickest way, toehr wise you will have to try to recover it .
