Help!!! My computer won't boot.

I have a strange problem. My computer won't even post. I turn it on, everything powers up, but the computer won't boot or even post. I don't even get a video signal to the monitor. It has been working fine for over a year and then all of a sudden - poof. It's gone. What can be causing this?? I assume it is an issue either with the motherboard, memory, or processor.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.

have you recently moved the tower case? do you get any error beeps?
suggest you try reseating the cpu,video & ram as a first step!
a little more info on your system may be helpful for troubleshooting purposes!
 
Yupper. More info please. Have you changed/messed with anything lately? There are 100's of fixes for the 100's of things that could be wrong. More info.

I havn't moved the location of the tower, but I do move it some to check/add/remove cables.

You said "everything powers up but it won't boot". I'm assuming you mean that the fans come on and the hard drive ticks and all that, but you don't see anything on the monitor, right? Do you get any "beeps" from the BIOS? I'd imagine if you did you'd have said something about it already.

I had this problem with my KT7. It's similar to the KA7. I had to reset my CMOS (should be a jumper on your mobo...unplug the computer and move the jumper then move it back). I also found that my memory had "popped out" somewhat from the DIMM slot.

If i was you, I'd do this:
Unplug the box
Reset the CMOS
Reseat the CPU (should be relatively easy as you have a slot CPU, right?)
Reseat the memory
Double check ALL data AND power cables.

After all this if you still can't boot, try a different stick of memory. Things do break. I'm sure others will volunteer some ideas.
 
You guessed it. No beeps. Everything does power up though. I'll try to reseat everything and reset the bios. I'll do that when I get home tonight. If that doesn't work is there anything else I can try??

i have that problem every time i play with my memory configuration. i always solve it by resetting the cmos and constantly swapping the memory in the slots until it posts... often this takes 1/2 an hour =( but eventually it works. so you might want to try that. i've had the most success putting one dimm in the slot closest to the cpu, and another in the one farthest from the cpu.
