Help! My computer is sending data by itself

I have a strange problem with a new install on a Windows 2k SP4 computer.

With both the Dial up Internet connection, and the LAN, I have very slow connections. When I check the status of the connection, the computer is sending more information than I am receiving, even though I'm not sending anything. It starts as soon as the computer starts into Windows.

I have run Spybot S&D, Adaware and Norton AV, and nothing shows up.

Can anyone advise me what the problem might be? None of my other computers are doing this.

try installing a program like netlimiter that will tell you who is using bandwidth and how much exactly.
